Heavily Damaged Foundation Repaired in Hazel Park, MI
Challenge
A buyer purchased a home with the intention to fix it up and sell it. However, the home had extensive foundation damage that would require a professional to make it safe and stable.
Wood joists in the crawl space were saturated with water. This led damage to the foundation. Because of this, the home's floors had been sagging for years.
Additionally, the joists had no padding under them, so they were sinking into the ground.
Solution
Our crew installed new joists and support beams throughout the crawl space to provide added support. This included removing some of the old badly damaged joists to make room for the new ones. We also added pads under the beams to stabilize them.
These repairs meant the homeowner could confidently sell the home, knowing it was free of foundation problems and ready to be occupied.
