Driveway Tripping Hazard Fixed in Canton, MI
Challenge
This couple bought their home in 2022 and were happy with it until they realized their driveway needed to be leveled. There was a steep drop-off where the garage met the rest of the driveway. It posed a tripping hazard not only to the couple but to their friends and family. What many people do not realize when their concrete is cracked or uneven, is that the problem is underneath the concrete itself. The soil is affected by flooding and droughts, even if it was originally compacted well. This results in voids under the concrete, and with nothing to support the weight the concrete sinks and cracks.
Solution
HomeSpec Waterproofing and Foundation Repair sent one of their project managers, Noah, to inspect the areas of concern. He shared with the homeowners that HomeSpec had a solution, PolyLevel® injection foam. This polyurethane foam expands under the concrete to fill in the soil voids and evenly lift the concrete to its former glory. Afterward, the crew would use NexusPro sealant on the joints and cracks. The homeowners agreed to this plan and allowed HomeSpec to move forward. The repairs were completed by HomeSpec’s PolyLevel foreman, Fred, and his team. The couple were happy with the work and to see their driveway completely flat.
