Photo Album: Bowing Walls Repaired & Foundation Stabilized in Detroit, MI

This customer contacted HomeSpec because he was rehabbing a home in Detroit that had serious foundation issues. Several walls were bowing and water was seeping in because of it. The structural support of the foundation was also in bad shape.  Our crew decided the best solution was to stabilized the walls with PowerBraces and carbon fiber straps. These will keep the walls from moving, but also potentially straighten them. We also had to replace the main beam and install a SmartJack post for extra support. The old beam was rusting out from previous flooding.
