Basement Waterproofing Photo Album: Customers Buy Home With Wet Basement in Whittaker, MI
These customers called HomeSpec after buying a home in Whittaker, Michigan with a wet basement. There were horizontal cracks in the foundation and water was seeping in through the walls.
After an inspection their project design specialist, Sidney, proposed that the homeowners waterproof their basement with an interior drainage system and sump pump. Since water was entering through the walls, he also suggested they install a vapor barrier on the walls. The homeowners eventually wanted to finish the basement and didn't want any water issues down the road, so they accepted the proposal and our crews got to work!
The homeowners are delighted to have a dry basement, and can't wait to start the renovations!
Vapor Barrier Blocks Moisture
The vapor barrier blocks moisture and water vapor from entering the basement, and instead directs it down to the drainage system. It's antimicrobial and made of inorganic material to prevent mold growth.

The entire system works together to keep the basement dry.
Interior Drainage System Installed
The drainage system collects water entering the basement and drain it into the sump pump, which then funnels the water up and away from the home.
