Basement Waterproofing Photo Album: Basement Leaking Severely After Rain in Southfield, MI
Project Manager: David Kingsley
Foreman: Jerry Blevins
Brittany in Southfield, Michigan contacted HomeSpec because her basement would leak every time it rained. They didn't know where it was coming from, until after her husband removed some wall panels and they found several cracks and rod holes, and found water coming in at the floor/wall joint.
To fix this issue, HomeSpec needed to repair the wet basement. First, the cracks and rod holes needed to be filled to stop them from seeping. Then a waterproofing system needed to be installed. A WaterGuard perimeter drainage system was put in place to collect water from the walls and the ground, and then to deposit the water into their brand new TripleSafe Sump Pump.
A powerful SaniDry Sedona was installed to maintain a healthy 55% relative humidity in the basement and condition the air. Brittany and her husband were so surprised with how much of a different everything made. They were able to fully finish their basement, and stop worrying about water seepage.
Old Sump Pump
The old sump pump could not handle the amount of water that needed to be removed from the foundation. It needed to be connect to a drainage system to keep water out of the home.
Pooling Water Around Foundation
There was a flooding problem in the homeowner's yard. With such waterlogged soil, it's easy for moisture to seep into below-grade spaces.
TripleSafe Sump Pump
The TripleSafe sump pump and battery back-up pump has the ability to expel thousands of gallons of water away from your home every hour.
Basement Waterproofing System
Sump Pump + WaterGuard Drainage System + Dehumidifier = dry basement. These 3 work together to funnel water out of the basement and away from the home.
