Basement Waterproofing Photo Album: Saline, MI Waterproof Basement Flooring Installation
Project Manager: Erik Nielsen
Foreman: Jon Lont
This homeowner in Saline, Michigan contacted HomeSpec because water was leaking into his basement after heavy rains. The water was leaking in from old egress windows without proper drainage. The basement was fully finished with carpet and all, which means the water was causing expensive damage every time it leaked in.
HomeSpec solved this issue by installing new window and window wells with proper drainage. This ensures that water will not be able to pool up in the window well and leak into the basement. Then we removed the old, wet carpet and replaced it with our ThermalDry® Elite Plank Flooring.
This faux-wood flooring is made of inorganic materials, making it mold-resistant and waterproof. It also easily installs over any basement waterproofing system, and comes in a variety of colors to match any color wall.
The homeowner absolutely loved the look of his basement with the new flooring, and was happy to finally have new waterproof egress windows!

The window well had no drainage and no cover to keep out water and debris.
