Basement Waterproofing Photo Album: Everlast Wall Waterproofing - Macomb, MI

A family in Macomb, MI has owned their home for 23 years, and the parents plan to pass it on to their children in the future. Before that time comes, they want to make sure there are no issues for them to inherit. That means getting their leaky, molding basement repaired. The homeowners called HomeSpec Waterproofing & Foundation Repair for a consultation regarding these issues.   Chris B., one of the inspectors from HomeSpec, looked through the inside and outside of the house to be thorough in his evaluation. He and the homeowners reviewed their concerns and came up with a plan together. The house would receive an interior drainage system using WaterGuard®, a sump pump, a discharge to a basin outside of the home, and an Everlast Wall Restoration System to line the basement. A crew was then scheduled to come out to the house and begin the projects. The crew was led by foreman Brandon H. in getting everything organized and completed in a timely manner. They began by digging out trenches for the interior drainage system and sump pump. They sealed them into place with concrete and ensured it laid level with the rest of the basement floor. They then removed the lower section of the walls. These spaces were filled with the Everlast Wall Restoration System. In this situation, there were areas with pipes that did not align flush with the walls. To combat this problem, HomeSpec made wooden frames to protect the pipes and then continued with installing the waterproof wall material. The finishing touches were applying baseboards to create a clean aesthetic.
