Basement Waterproofing Photo Album: Center Line, MI Co-Op Basement Wall Cracks Sealed
A management company for a housing cooperative in Center Line, MI reached out to HomeSpec Waterproofing and Foundation Repair when they learned there were cracks in one of the unit’s basement walls. They wanted to fix these concerns before a new resident moved in. HomeSpec shared that these cracks could be repaired using high pressure urethane injections, and the company approved of this.
Domonique, one of HomeSpec’s PolyLevel foremen, went to the unit for the repairs. He injected the cracked wall with a material that expanded to fill any gaps that might allow water to enter. After, the crack was sealed inside the basement as well to provide a completely waterproof seal on both sides of the wall. It was then painted over to match the rest of the basement. The management was happy to see the repairs completed so a new resident could utilize every level without worrying about leaks.
Basement Wall Crack Concerns Co-Op Management
This crack is one of two that alarmed the management. They called HomeSpec to repair the crack.
Basement Wall Crack Repaired Using High Pressure Urethane Injections
A hole in the wall near the original crack allows the expanding material to flow behind the crack. HomeSpec placed a plastic layer down to catch any excess material that seeped back through to the front. This makes cleaning up afterward a breeze.
Crack Repair Sealed on Both Sides
After filling the crack behind the wall, the crack was then sealed inside the basement to create a permanent solution.
Crack Repair Painted Over
To make the rest of the wall match, the crack repair was painted over in white.
