Basement Waterproofing Photo Album: Macomb, MI Poured Foundation Had Leaking Cracks
This HomeSpec Waterproofing and Foundation Repair customer had their home built 10 years ago. Only two years after the construction, a crack appeared in the foundation. As the years have passed, more cracks have appeared and some have even begun to leak. The homeowner wanted to fix the cracks and leaks before things got worse. Their plan was to have the basement fixed up so their kids could use the space in the future to play and store toys. With this plan in mind, the homeowner reached out to HomeSpec.
A project manager went out to the home and investigated the foundation. They found even more cracks than the homeowner had originally known about. There were three cracks that were actively leaking. The project manager and homeowner decided together that the leaking areas would take priority. The best way to address these cracks would be to inject the area behind it and prevent water from being able to leak through. This is known as a high pressure urethane injection. After filling the space behind the foundation wall, the crack itself would then be sealed. The homeowner was happy with this plan and even happier once the project was completed.
