Concrete Leveling Photo Album: Driveway Concrete Slab Leveled in Trenton, MI
A homeowner in Trenton, MI had just moved into their home when they noticed something new the first time it rained. One concrete slab in the driveway was sloping downward toward the house. This concerned the homeowner for multiple reasons. They did not want any water to damage the foundation, as they aged they did not want to worry about tripping hazards, and they did not want water to pool and freeze into ice sheets in the winter. With these problems in mind, the homeowner reached out to HomeSpec Waterproofing and Foundation Repair for a free inspection.
One of HomeSpec’s project managers, Ben, went out to inspect the driveway and learn more from the homeowner. He concluded that using PolyLevel® Injection Foam lift the lower side of the slab would be the best solution. Ben explained that the team would drill holes through the slab and inject a specialized foam to the underside which would fill any voids and lift the side until it was level with the rest of the driveway. Then, the joints could be sealed using NexusPro sealant. The homeowner agreed to this plan and later witnessed a HomeSpec team, led by Domonique, see to the project’s completion.
Concrete Slab in Woodhaven, MI Slanting Toward Foundation
The project manager saw the angle of the concrete slab and the dangers that it posed. The uneven driveway could cause someone to trip, lead water to damage the nearby foundation, and could easily allow ice to form.
HomeSpec Team Drills Holes Through Concrete Slab
The first step to using PolyLevel® Injection Foam is to drill through the concrete slab. Once they break through to the underside of the slab then the foam can fill the void and lift the concrete up.
