Concrete Repair Photo Album: Overgrown Sandusky, MI Sidewalk Leveled and Sealed
About a year ago, this homeowner moved into their Sandusky, MI home. It was important to them that they stay on top of the maintenance to help the longevity of the home. This included addressing their uneven sidewalk and concrete slab alongside the house. They decided to give HomeSpec Waterproofing and Foundation Repair a try and set up a free inspection.
One of HomeSpec’s project managers, Noah, went out to take a look around the property and offered a repair plan. He explained that a skilled PolyLevel foreman, like Domonique, would use PolyLevel® Injection Foam to raise the sunken concrete until the sidewalk was even again. Then, the team would use NexusPro sealant on all of the cracks and joints. This material protects the concrete from plants growing through like they had before. The homeowner agreed to go this route and was happy that they did. Their sidewalk was transformed from overgrown and riddled with tripping hazards to even and clean!
Sidewalk Cracking from Plants Growing Through
The project manager conducting the inspection saw how uneven the sidewalk was and all of the plant life growing through the cracks.
Plants Removed to Prepare for Concrete Leveling and Repair
Before HomeSpec could lift and seal the concrete, they had to remove all of the grass and other plants that would interfere with the process.
Sidewalk Lifted and Sealed
Finally, the HomeSpec team could use PolyLevel to lift the sidewalk until it was all leveled out. The last step was to seal the cracks and joints using NexusPro sealant.
