This Berkley, Michigan homeowner, Taylor W., contacted HomeSpec to address some foundation issues they had noticed. They wanted to add a second story onto their home, but needed to wait so they could solve these pressing issues first.
The joists and posts in the crawl space were rotting and in bad shape, which is why the home was sagging/settling. HomeSpec fixed the problem by installing our SmartJack Support Posts. These lift, level, and stabilize the support in the crawl space. In order to hold the weight of another story on the home, it was crucial that the foundation could hold it.
