Crawl Space Repair Photo Album: Casco, MI Crawl Space Insulated and Encapsulated to Fight Musty Smells
A homeowner in Casco, MI noticed a musty smell in their house. They suspected that the cause of the unpleasant odor originated from the crawl space. This was not a project they wanted to tackle themselves so they decided to call HomeSpec Waterproofing and Foundation Repair. One of HomeSpec’s project managers went out to the home and inspected the crawl space. While there was no standing water, there were still readings of moisture in the crawl space. The project manager suggested that the crawl space be insulated using SilverGlo™ and then encapsulated with CleanSpace® to fight moisture off permanently. The homeowner agreed to this plan and it was carried out by foreman Jon and his team.

This unique foam insulation stops air leaks and does not allow mold moisture in or mold to grow.
Crawl Space Encapsulation Complete Using CleanSpace®
After the SilverGlo™ insulation was installed, it was then covered using a CleanSpace® vapor barrier. The finished product was a crawl space with white walls and white floor that would stay dry and warm.
