Crawl Space Repair Photo Album: Canton, MI Crawl Space Insulated, Encapsulated, and Waterproofed to Fight Moisture Issues

A Canton, MI homeowner contacted HomeSpec Waterproofing and Foundation Repair for help with their crawl space. They wanted to encapsulate the crawl space to prevent moisture issues such as mold. With this interest in mind, they scheduled an appointment to get a free evaluation and estimate. This appointment was booked with a senior project manager named Erik.   Erik visited the home and discussed the concerns with the owner. He explored the outside of the house for the crawl space access points and then investigated the crawl space itself. Inside, he noticed a lot of debris and mold damage on the wooden structure. Erik took measurements and notes in order to determine the best products to help protect this crawl space.  He proposed that the homeowner insulate the crawl space using SilverGlo™ and then focus on protecting it from water damage. This would then be connected to new drainage routing water away from the home. Then, they could encapsulate the crawl space using CleanSpace® and seal the entrances using EverLast™ crawl space doors. To prevent humidity issues, Erik also suggested installing a SaniDry Sedona Dehumidifier. This thorough plan aligned with the homeowner’s goals and agreed to proceed.
