Brad W. in Saline, Michigan contacted HomeSpec because he had just purchased a home that had about 20 cracks in the basement walls. This is an insanely high, abnormal amount that surprised everyone.
Upon inspection though, it was discovered that the home was sinking, also known as settling into the soil. This was causing the cracks throughout the home.
To combat this issue, HomeSpec installed a whopping 21 helical piers. These anchor deep into the earth underneath the foundation, and stabilize the home. They hold the foundation in place to prevent further sinking or settlement. They can also lift the home back to its original level.
The dozens of cracks also needed to be permanently sealed, waterproofed and stabilized with Carbon Fiber Power Grids.
