Foundation Repair Photo Album: Basement Suffers From Cracked/Bowing Walls and Water Intrusion in Grosse Ile, MI
Project Manager: Mark Buhr
Foreman: Ryan Loop
Ruth K. from Grosse Ile, Michigan contacted HomeSpec to finally repair her damaged foundation after many years of issues. She had water seeping into her basement, as well as a severely cracked and bowing foundation wall. Project manager Mark Buhr developed a permanent solution so Ruth wouldn't have to worry anymore.
Foreman Ryan Loop and his crew first repaired the foundation. They excavated the damaged wall to push it back into place (and waterproofed it from the exterior), and then installed PowerBraces to stabilize the wall and reverse the bowing. Carbon Fiber Straps were also needed to help stabilize the foundation.
After the cracks were all sealed to prevent water intrusion, the crew was finished! Ruth and her family were very happy with the final results – and could finally rest easy knowing their foundation was in good shape again.
