Interior Helical Pier Installation
Helical piers can be installed both outside and inside. In this situation, a hole was dug inside a basement to reach the foundation. The helical piers then lift and stabilize the floor to prevent settling.
Holes Filled After Helical Piers Installed
After the helical piers evenly lifted the foundation, the remaining space was filled with the dirt originally removed.
Interior Drainage System and CarbonArmor® Wall Reinforcing System Installed After Helical Piers
Before filling the space around the helical piers completely, the HomeSpec crew created additional trenches that aligned with the remaining depth. The interior drainage system was then installed along the perimeter of the basement. The remaining gaps were then filled with rocks. These rocks not only secure the area but allow water to pass into the IDS without clogging it with dirt or other debris. At this stage, the CarbonArmor® were also installed to prevent the basement wall from bowing further.
Interior Drainage System, Helical Piers, and CarbonArmor® Wall Reinforcing System Secured
New concrete was poured to secure the installations. This created an even floor that could have materials placed on top once the concrete dried.
Grosse Pointe Woods, MI Foundation and Basement Stabilized and Waterproofed
This basement was completely transformed! The foundation was lifted, the walls stabilized, and the basement waterproofed. The floor will no longer sink, the walls will not lean forward any further, and whatever water intrudes will be ushered out of the pristine house. CleanSpace® was the vapor barrier cherry on top!
