As you can see from the photo, Elaina K. in Southfield, Michigan was dealing with a wet and muddy crawl space - which is why she called HomeSpec to have it waterproofed and encapsulated!
Project Manager Mark Buhr developed a repair that would best suit Elaina's needs. Jon Davis and his crew installed The SmartPipe™ Drainage System made for crawl spaces, and connected it to a brand new sump pump with a powerful Zoeller Pump inside. This system will collect water and funnel it away from the foundation. They then sealed the floor and walls with our CleanSpace Vapor Barrier to block moisture from entering.
Our crew also installed SmartJack Support Posts in the crawl space to stop the floors above from sagging. This Southfield homeowner now has a dry, healthy crawl space thanks to the team at HomeSpec!
Nothing is more stressful than finding water in your partially finished basement. That's what happened to these homeowners in Southfield, Michigan. After a few days of heavy rain, they discovered moisture in their basement. After removing a few wall panels, they found leaking cracks and rod holes, AND water seeping from the floor/wall joint. This is when they called the experts at HomeSpec.
Project manager David Kingsley went out and inspected their issues. He informed the homeowners that an interior drainage system with a new, high-capacity sump pump would waterproof the basement for good. The homeowners wished to fully finish the basement, and never wanted to stress about water intrusion again – so they were excited about a waterproofing system!
Foreman Jerry Blevins and his crew got to work. They installed the WaterGuard Perimeter Drainage System connected to a TripleSafe Sump Pump. Together, these collect water before it leaks into the basement, and funnel it away from the home. A SaniDry Sedona Dehumidifier was installed to filter the air and keep the relative humidity at a healthy 55%.
Now these homeowners can finish their basement and don't have to worry about water damage.
These Southfield, MI homeowners were concerned about their sidewalk and driveway beginning to sink. Because of this sinking, they experienced pooling water which turns into a sheet of ice during the winter months. This couple has worked with HomeSpec Waterproofing and Foundation Repair in the past. The previous year, they had installed a sump pump in their home to address worries of water entering their basement. Their concern became about the pooling water overworking the sump pump they had installed. So, they called HomeSpec back out to see what could be done.
Elon, one of HomeSpec’s project managers, went out to the home and inspected all of the concrete on the property. He shared a plan with the couple to lift and protect the sidewalk and driveway. To evenly lift the concrete, a skilled foreman and their crew would use PolyLevel® Injection Foam. Then, they would seal the joints using NexusPro sealant. Lastly, they would apply SealantPro, a protective layer, to prevent water, oil, and gasoline from damaging the concrete. Additional suggestions included installing TrenchDrain™ Grated Draining Pipe. The homeowners agreed to these plans and scheduled HomeSpec to do the work. The teams were led by the foremen named Fred and Rick.
Owners of a home in Southfield, MI were worried about their sinking sidewalk and driveway. Water was pooling in front of the house and turning into a sheet of ice during the cold months. The homeowners had sought help from HomeSpec Waterproofing and Foundation Repair just a year prior to address the water in the basement. They were happy with their sump pump solution and knew that HomeSpec would provide the right option for this issue as well.
A project manager named Elon went out to the home to investigate the sinking concrete during a free inspection. He took detailed notes and then discussed his findings with the homeowners. Installing TrenchDrain™ Grated Draining Pipe would capture water that had been pooling and direct it away from the concrete and home. To address the concrete that had already sunken, Elon recommended lifting the slabs with PolyLevel® Injection Foam. After lifting to an even level, the crew would seal the joints using NexusPro sealant and apply SealantPro, a protective layer. The homeowners approved of this repair plan and it was seen to completion by the teams of Fred and Rick.
