A Dearborn, MI resident moved into their home 30 years ago. This homeowner intends to leave the house to their daughters and plans to remodel and refresh everything. The first issue they decided to tackle was fixing the driveway and the garage. After some searching, they called HomeSpec Waterproofing and Foundation Repair for a free estimate.
One of HomeSpec’s project managers, Yann, went out to the home and investigated all of the concrete. He discussed with the homeowner the best way to meet the homeowner’s goals. The first step would be to lift the concrete using PolyLevel® Injection Foam. The second step would be to seal the joints and any cracks by using NexusPro sealant. The end result would be leveled, sealed concrete, and a clean aesthetic. The homeowner agreed to this plan and worked out a schedule for the HomeSpec foreman and crew to complete the project.
A homeowner in Lake Orion, MI was preparing to sell their home when an inspector for the interested party discovered mold and moisture in the crawl space. The current homeowner wanted to ensure this was addressed so the sale could proceed. They called HomeSpec Waterproofing and Foundation Repair to see what could be done about getting the crawl space repaired.
Zach, a senior project manager for HomeSpec, entered the crawl space to do another inspection. Afterward, he recommended that the homeowner allow HomeSpec to use Mold-X2 to address the mold and encapsulate the crawl space using CleanSpace®. This combination would get rid of the mold and prevent it from coming back. The homeowner agreed to this plan and a HomeSpec crew led by foreman David went forward with the repairs. The crawl space was transformed from damp, dirty, and unlevel to a dry, clean, and balanced zone.
Your sump pump should always be pumping water away from your foundation. Especially if you live in an area with a high water table or a high level of water around your foundation, you need a reliable sump pump to keep your basement from flooding. This Melvindale homeowner did not have that - sometimes her sump pump wouldn't work at all. This made her constantly worry, until she finally contacted HomeSpec.
Our crew installed a brand new TripleSafe sump pump. This provides triple the protection with 3 powerful pumps that expel 2,000 gallons of water every hour.
Now the homeowner doesn't have to worry about her basement flooding, knowing it's in good hands.
Beams were used to stabilize basement walls that were cracked.
Jenny W. from Birmingham, Michigan contacted HomeSpec after finding water leaking into her basement after a bad storm through the floor/wall joint and cracks in the walls.
HomeSpec had a solution for her wet basement woes: a waterproofing system. This includes a WaterGuard Drainage System that installs around the perimeter to collect water before it leaks into the basement. This then deposits water into the TripleSafe Sump Pump (with 3 pumps for triple the protection) which funnels water away from the home.
We also installed our Foamax Basement Wall Panels to hide the unsightly foundation walls, brighten up the space, and drain any water leaks into the drainage system.
The basement's transformation was astounding and Jenny couldn't be any happier with the results!
