This clear safety hazard of shifting, settling, and sinking concrete slabs would be leveled and sealed using a combination of PolyLevel to inject a powerful versatile polyurethane foam underneath to lift the slabs back into place, and NexusPro joint sealant to reliably seal in the gaps with UV resistant and weatherproof material.
A sinking patio in Livonia, MI was cause for concern for this homeowner. The step from the patio to the door had grown as the concrete slab sank lower, increasing the risk of tripping. The homeowner wanted their concrete leveling done by a professional, so they reached out to HomeSpec. The customer care team set up an appointment with a project manager to visit the home and provide a free estimate.
During the appointment, the project manager discussed the homeowner’s goals and took thorough notes about the condition of the patio. After recording the necessary measurements, the project manager recommended lifting the concrete with PolyLevel® Injection Foam. Once the slabs were leveled, the crew would use NexusPro sealant to protect the joints. The homeowner approved of this repair plan and later worked with the scheduling team to have the repairs completed. Fred, a foreman specializing in concrete leveling, led a crew in this project.
An Ortonville, MI homeowner reached out to HomeSpec Waterproofing and Foundation Repair to repair a concrete driveway. Not only were there cracks but some of the slabs had begun to sink. This gap even allowed grass to grow through the concrete. This particular homeowner was already very familiar with the company because they had been hired before. They had owned two homes throughout the years and HomeSpec encapsulated both crawl spaces. When it came time for more repairs, they already knew what company they wanted to work with.
A senior project manager named Erik visited the home and evaluated the cracked driveway. He was the same project manager who had done their last inspection for the crawl space. Erik discussed his findings with the homeowner and together they came up with a plan that met the homeowner’s goals. The homeowner agreed to let HomeSpec’s team use PolyLevel® Injection Foam to lift the slabs up again until the entire driveway was level again. Then, the crew would seal the cracks and joints using NexusPro sealant. The group that completed this project was led by a PolyLevel foreman named Fred. The homeowner was happy with the final results!
These Southfield, MI homeowners were concerned about their sidewalk and driveway beginning to sink. Because of this sinking, they experienced pooling water which turns into a sheet of ice during the winter months. This couple has worked with HomeSpec Waterproofing and Foundation Repair in the past. The previous year, they had installed a sump pump in their home to address worries of water entering their basement. Their concern became about the pooling water overworking the sump pump they had installed. So, they called HomeSpec back out to see what could be done.
Elon, one of HomeSpec’s project managers, went out to the home and inspected all of the concrete on the property. He shared a plan with the couple to lift and protect the sidewalk and driveway. To evenly lift the concrete, a skilled foreman and their crew would use PolyLevel® Injection Foam. Then, they would seal the joints using NexusPro sealant. Lastly, they would apply SealantPro, a protective layer, to prevent water, oil, and gasoline from damaging the concrete. Additional suggestions included installing TrenchDrain™ Grated Draining Pipe. The homeowners agreed to these plans and scheduled HomeSpec to do the work. The teams were led by the foremen named Fred and Rick.
These homeowners contacted HomeSpec to have their concrete garage floor repaired - it was sinking so bad that there were large gaps between the floor and the wall. It was quite unsightly!
Our crew used PolyLevel to permanently raise the slabs back into place. We also sealed all of the joints with our NexusPro joint sealant - leaving the garage floor looking brand new. The sealant protects the concrete from soil compaction and washout to prevent more sinking! See more photos here.
