These customers contacted us about water coming up through their basement floor tiles. Upon inspection though, shearing and bowed walls were discovered.

Our crew rebuilt the sheared wall, then installed a wall stabilization system to prevent future water issues and protect the structural integrity of the home. 

 Fiberglass insulation, as seen in the first image, is the most standard and economical option, but it also has many flaws that accompany it. Fiberglass insulation absorbs water and loses its R-value when wet, and also promotes mold growth when dirty, beyond that air passes through fiberglass batts, contributing to uncomfortable rooms upstairs, cold floors, and high energy bills. Her insulation was failing; that much was obvious with the constant chill in her home in recent years, the insulation had aged out.

 SilverGlo insulation was installed in the second image, which is made of expanded polystyrene insulation with graphite infused into it. The tiny particles of graphite reflect heat and lower the material's conductivity for superior R-values. This type of crawl space insulation helps keep warmth in the winter throughout the house and can even help reduce heating bills with their heat reflective material, making it the ideal crawl space insulation option to any homeowner.

A homeowner in Ypsilanti, MI noticed that the patio in their backyard had been sinking in recent years. This sunken concrete caused puddles to form and made it difficult to utilize the space. The owner reached out to HomeSpec Waterproofing and Foundation Repair to see if they could with their patio. One of HomeSpec’s senior project managers, David, went out to the home and took a detailed account of both the inside and outside. After taking measurements and notes, he returned to the homeowner to discuss the best solutions.
