Homeowner in Farmington Hills, MI With Leaking Basement That Was Causing Damage to their Bathroom and Bar Has the CleanSpace System and Ultra Sump Sump Pump Installed to Prevent Further Damage
A homeowner in Farmington Hills, MI noticed water was seeping into their basement. Initially, it was just a small trickle, but over time, it had become a significant problem. The water was now flowing across the entire basement, causing damage to the interior walls near the bar and bathroom. Additionally, the water had damaged the entire finished wall product on one of the walls. Wanting to address the issue before it got any worse, they reached out to us for a solution.
After sending one of our Project Managers to assess the situation and provide a free inspection, he suggested installing three different systems: the UltraSump, CleanSpace Wall, and EverLast Wall Panels.
First, our crew would install the UltraSump. They began by excavating a small section of the basement floor where the UltraSump would be installed. Then they connected it to a discharge line that would carry the water outside and away from the house. The next step was for our crew to install the CleanSpace Wall system. This is a thick, durable plastic sheeting that is designed to completely cover basement walls, preventing water vapor and humidity from seeping through. They made sure to cut the material to fit around obstacles such as electrical outlets, pipes, and corners to prevent any disruptions when installing the EverLast Wall Panels.
Finally, our crew installed the EverLast Wall Panels. They placed a metal track around the perimeter of the basement, then cut the panels to fit and attached them to the track ensuring not to damage any of the existing modifications made by the homeowner. The wall panels are a finishing system that is designed specifically for basement environments. They are made of inorganic materials that will not rot, decay or support mold growth, and can withstand moisture, mildew, and humidity.
The UltraSump would keep the basement dry, while the CleanSpace Wall and EverLast Wall Panels would prevent any further water damage. The homeowner was happy to have their needs met with our systems and very pleased with the results of the project.
